Become a Pharmacy Technician

This program will prepare you to enter the pharmacy field and to pursue certification including the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. This course covers the following key areas and topics: pharmacy calculations, medical terminology specific to the pharmacy, skills to read and interpret prescriptions, review of the top 200 drugs, skills to identify drugs by generic and brand names, dosage calculations, I.V. flow rates, drug compounding, and dose conversions, and dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control, and billing and reimbursement. Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Program

A Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) provides basic nursing care to residents of long-term facilities under the supervision of licensed nurses. Our training program is approved by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services and it is divided into two components. Component I consists of 80 hours of necessary classroom and laboratory skills training needed to provide safe and competent basic nursing care. Component II consists of 40 hours of clinical training at a nursing facility where candidates will provide hand-on care to residents under the supervision of a certified instructor. Additionally, candidates will receive individualized preparation for the state examination that is required in order to be placed on the Texas Certified Nurse Aide Registry. No discounts. Medical Billing & Coding

This billing and coding program delivers the skills you need to solve insurance billing and coding problems. It details the proper assignment of codes and the process to file claims for reimbursement. This course will also provide training on ICD-10-CM. You will also review and practice using the alphabetic index and tabular list of the ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM as well as practice coding examples within the CPT, basic claims, and processes for medical insurance and third-party reimbursements. Lastly, you will complete common insurance forms, trace delinquent claims and appeal denied claims, followed by an overview of ICD-10-CM. No discounts. Medication Aide Certification

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) can complete this additional training to become certified to dispense medication to patients while working under the supervision of a Registered nurse. This class is approved by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services and meets the required 140 hours. The state exam is scheduled at the end of the class. Eligibility requirements include: employment in a nursing home as a certified nurse aide with 90 days experience during the past year and a high school diploma or GED. Tuition includes text. Microsoft® Office Specialist (MOS) in Excel® 2016

Demonstrate that you have the skills needed to get the most out of Office® by earning a Microsoft Office® Specialist (MOS) certification in Excel® 2016. This hands-on course is partially instructor led, instructor facilitated and partially self-paced. Microsoft Office® Specialist 2016 certification exams are performance-based and Microsoft® recommends that you have hands-on experience with Excel®. This course is designed to prepare you for the Excel® Core exam. One exam with retake option is included in the class price. Exams are administered on site, at the end of the course. Exam date is April 11 and retake date is April 18. Instructor is Danya Martin. No discounts.
