ALIR - The Real Ulysses S. Grant ... Plus

This course presents a comprehensive cradle-to-grave biography of Ulysses S. Grant, civil War hero and two-term U.S. President. The class will be taught using PowerPoint® presentations, videos and class discussion. The final two weeks will be devoted to viewing the PBS film Death and the Civil War which explores how the staggering loss of 600,000 soldiers led to a new national consciousness and the development of the National Cemetery System.
