Health & Wellness - Alzheimer's and Dementia Know the 10 Signs Early Detection

There is reluctance within the general public to visit a doctor once signs or symptoms of dementia are noticed. Both fear and stigma have a role in this reluctance, which results in a delay in getting treatment that may help alleviate symptoms. The goal of this program is to provide compelling information about Alzheimer's disease, and moving testimony from families living with the disease, to encourage early detection, early diagnosis and early intervention. Participants will be able to identify the 10 warning signs of Alzheimer's disease and what to do next, understand what is involved in getting a diagnosis, identify risks and understand the benefits of early detection. The instructor is Ginny Funk of the Alzheimer's Association.
