The Indian Food Diaries: Nutritious Buttermilk Dishes
Not many people know how diverse buttermilk is, especially within Indian cuisine. In this class, you will explore this simple ingredient and all it can do. You will learn how to make fresh buttermilk from Indian yogurt (Dahi) or curds. You will also prepare one to two delicious stews using fresh vegetables and other ingredients such as ginger, turmeric, coconut, tamarind, chickpea flour and various spices. Bring to-go containers and an apron. A food fee of $10 is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class. Instructor, Raji Kailasam.
