After School Youth Classes - Online Bits, Bytes & Bots: 3D Video Game Making (Grades 3-6)

Has your child ever wanted to build their own 3D Video Game? Here's their chance! Microsoft’s Kodu is a visual programming language, similar to scratch but more advanced, that will have your child master the art of conditional formatting. Students will learn the basics of 3D game design by creating multiple games in this distance learning class. Students will create power-ups to stun their opponents, create unique one and two-player games, master sound effects and more! This course emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and adaptability. Students should download the software directly from Microsoft (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=10056) prior to class. Technology requirements include access to one computer (not Apple or Chromebook) to build the games. This is a distance learning class where students will have the ability to access each guided video lesson at their leisure. The first lesson will be released on Monday, January 25. Instructions for accessing video lessons and chats will be emailed by the instructor.
