The Indian Food Diaries: Vegetarian and Vegan Mini-Bites
Get ready to entertain your guests with tasty mini bites, similar to tapas, made using fermented batters of chickpeas, lentils and rice. In this hands-on class, you will get a peek into Indian home cooking! You will steam dumplings (Idli / Dhokla) and make mini crepes (Dosai). You will also learn to make chutneys for the dumplings and fillings for crepes. Instructor Raji Kailasam native of Chennai, India, has been teaching in San Antonio for four years. Bring a to-go container, an apron, cutting board and a $10 supply fee, which is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class.
