Workforce Certification Programs - Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Program

A Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) provides basic nursing care to residents of long-term facilities under the supervision of licensed nurses. Our training program is approved by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services and it is divided into two components. Component I consists of 80 hours of necessary classroom and laboratory skills training needed to provide safe and competent basic nursing care. Component II consists of 40 hours of clinical training at a nursing facility where candidates will provide hand-on care to residents under the supervision of a certified instructor. Additionally, candidates will receive individualized preparation for the state examination that is required in order to be placed on the Texas Certified Nurse Aide Registry. No discounts. Instructor Mary L. Piker, RN, BSN, BBA.
