Beginning Photography, Chapter 2

If you have started taking the steps to controlling the triangle of exposure and know how to adjust aperture and shutter speed, you are ready for Chapter 2. There are so many elements of your camera to learn and explore, that can affect the quality of your images. Learn to control focus, metering and understanding your lenses. Bring your camera with a manual mode and its instruction manual to class. A valid email address and Internet access are also required for at-home projects. Instructor, S. Janette Constantino. This is a distance learning class held through Zoom. Instructions for logging into Zoom will be emailed by the instructor prior to the first class meeting. This class meets Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Blown Glass Ornaments

Ornaments aren’t just for the holidays. They can add a pop of color to your living space or you can display them on your porch. You will have fun in this hands-on class learning how to blow your own glass ornaments using a torch. Each student will receive Glaskolben to make 10 ornaments and you can select your own frit colors to add interesting effects to your ornaments. You will anneal your ornaments and pick them up at a later date where you will add the finishing touches. Instructors are from Stained Glass Crafters Workbench. Note: Mask will be required to be worn during class. A $30 supply fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class.

Create Your Own Greeting Cards - Online

What better way to spread joy than through handmade cards? This class is no ordinary card making class. Instructor and owner of Tiffany's Creative Space, Tiffany Johnson will help you delve into the world of professional card making. In this class, you will make four holiday cards using card stock, ink, die cuts and punches. You will learn the basic folds, layout, color coordination and balance, as well as fun ways to embellish your holiday cards to give them that wow factor. This is a distance learning class held through Zoom. Instructions for logging into Zoom will be emailed by the instructor prior to the first class meeting. The deadline for registration will be on Thursday, October 15th at 4:00 p.m. All supplies are included and pick up will be on Monday, October 19 at the Community Learning Center from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please call (210) 407-0145 to make pick up arrangements.

Fabulous Photos Fast

Organize and edit your photos with lightning speed. Categorize your images to make them easy to find and sort. Then apply easy to control edits to bring your images to life. Adobe Lightroom or another photo management system is recommended. Please bring a laptop with software already loaded and images you would like to edit. Instructor S. These snowflakes won’t melt in the warm Texas winters. In this class, students will create beautiful glass snowflakes that will add sparkle to your holiday festivities. You will use a variety of colorful precut glass to create two unique snowflakes. Stained Glass Crafters Workbench will teach you how to properly assemble and add embellishments to your snowflakes. Piano, Level 1 - Online

This class offers a basic introduction to theory, performance, and comprehension of music using a keyboard in a group setting. Instructor, Floyd Dixon II was classically trained on piano and violin and has over eight years of music experience in the San Antonio area. Learning material to include sheet music and piano stickers will be provided. This is a distance learning class held through Zoom. Instructions for logging into Zoom as well as class policies and learning objectives will be emailed by the instructor before the first class meeting.
