Dog Grooming

Learn how to properly bathe, brush, clean ears, brush teeth, clip nails and care for your dog's coat. Linda Weniger, instructor, will also teach you about the different tools to use on different coats of hair. You will leave class knowing just what you need in order to have your pooch looking like he or she has been to the doggie spa. And, by the way, you'll even know the difference between a slicker brush and a pin brush. Take this chance to learn from a professional; you'll be glad you did. Do not bring your dog to class. Dog Tricks

Have you ever wondered how smart your dog is? Your dog can probably do more than just basic commands. In this course you'll learn the fundamentals of training your dog to do fun and motivating tricks such as shake hands, high five, roll over, play dead, kiss, beg, spin, give a bye-bye, fetch a specific item, and so much more. All dogs must be on a secure collar and leash. Bring proof of rabies shot, delicious doggy treats and a doggie with a sociable disposition. Golf for Women, Intermediate - Lessons and Lunch

This intermediate golf class for women includes lessons followed by a tasty lunch from the SilverHorn Grille menu. The class is designed for golfers who have played before and want to refresh skills or maximize performance. If you have clubs, bring them. If you do not, loaners are available. Golf balls will be furnished. Lessons are provided by the Director of Instruction, Rob Myers, and the SilverHorn staff. Fee covers lessons and lunches. No discount.

Golf has been one of the fastest-growing sports for the past 10 years. Take a swing at learning the necessary fundamentals such as proper grip, rules of play, scoring, etiquette, stance, swing and more. Learn about a hobby that you could enjoy for a lifetime. San Marcos River Trip

Join us for a 5.5 mile kayak trip down the lazy San Marcos River. The banks are lined with Cypress, Sycamore and Pecan trees and populated with Heron, Egret, Crane, Hawks, Eagles, Turtles, Havelina, Longhorn and much more. The actual time in the water is approximately 3 hours of easy and relaxed paddling with a chance of an involuntary swim. Tekin's Rapid, the only rated rapid, may add a touch of excitement to the trip. Texas Pack and Paddle will guide you down the San Marcos River from Martindale to Staples. Supplies for the trip can be found by visiting https://communityed.neisd.net. You'll meet at the Northwoods Shopping Center in front of Fish City Grill to begin the trip to San Marcos.

The Mission Reach Paddle Tour - King William Section

Come see San Antonio from a different perspective. This is a guided kayak trip for those of you wanting to experience the San Antonio River King William Mission Reach Portion. It is an easy, slow paddle. We will start downstream at Guenther and paddle upstream towards Nueva St. and then back to our put-in location. The round-trip is approximately 1.6 miles. Supplies for the trip can be found by visiting https://communityed.neisd.net. You'll meet at 100 E. Guenther behind the San Antonio River Authority building. Texas Pack and Paddle will be your guide for the trip.
