Beginner Golf Crash Course

Join us at SilverHorn Golf Club for this two week "crash course" to learn the game of golf. With four, 2-hour sessions in a two week span you will be submerged in the golf basics. You'll be armed with the knowledge to brave the golf course starting with the basics of grip, stance, and golf club anatomy. Dog Obedience

Don't be taken for a walk anymore! Know all the proper techniques for training your dog using positive reinforcement. A basic skill will be taught each week such as the heel, sit, stay, come and down commands. Learn the tricks to solving behavior problems. At the pet's first class session, you will be required to provide proof of current vaccination. Equipment will be discussed and will be available for purchase if necessary. Land Navigation - Map, Compass and GPS Skills

Stay found! With a map and compass, or satellites, you'll never be "confused" again. Learn how to use essential outdoor navigation tools to travel by foot to a destination. Determine your location using triangulation techniques or GPS coordinates. NEW - You will hear about Geocashing. Plan to hike to locate geocashes. Come learn to play with a wiffle ball and a paddle on a badminton-sized court. Pickleball is designed for both men and women, no matter your age or physical limitation. Quick Start Kayak Class

This class is a brief introduction to paddling a kayak. You will be presented with basic information on dressing to paddle safely, identifying potential hazards and doing some simple rescues. The Mission Reach Paddle Tour - King William Section

Come see San Antonio from a different perspective. This is a guided kayak trip for those of you wanting to experience the San Antonio River King William Mission Reach Portion. It is an easy, slow paddle. We will start downstream at Guenther and paddle upstream towards Nueva St. and then back to our put-in location. The round-trip is approximately 1.6 miles.
