Amazing New Murals in Downtown San Antonio- Walking Tour

Vibrant, new murals are enhancing our wonderful downtown. Discover exciting new murals in public places on this comfortable walking tour which will feature both large and modest artworks. Enjoy the richness of our community’s culture as expressed via murals in downtown San Antonio. Begin near SE corner of Houston St. and Alamo St., across the street from US Post Office & Federal Building at 615 E. Houston St.

Cemetery Tour- Walking Tour

Learn tragic, humorous, and inspiring stories about famous and less well-known cemetery residents, and gain a better understanding of cemetery history & architecture. This comfortable walking tour will reveal one of San Antonio’s impressive, but often overlooked, historic treasures – and will include an extra special treat. Begin at 517 Paso Hondo, San Antonio National Cemetery. Bruce Martin, certified professional tour guide, will lead this walking tour.

Dog Grooming

Learn how to properly bathe and brush your dog's coat, clean ears, brush teeth and clip nails. Instructor Linda Weniger will also teach you about the different tools to use on different coats of hair. You will leave class knowing just what you need in order to have your pooch looking like he or she has been to the doggie spa. Take this chance to learn from a professional; you will be glad you did. Do not bring your dog to class.

Dog Manners 101

Are you having trouble getting Rover to stay off the furniture? Is Spot digging up your yard? Learn techniques to keep paws off of you as well as your new chair. Learn to avoid frustration with proven techniques that manage unwanted behaviors. You will be able to teach your pet manners in a safe, rewarding way. Linda Weniger has been working successfully with Rovers and Spots for over 40 years. Do not bring your dog to this class.

Dog Obedience, Intermediate

This class follows up after Basic Obedience. Dogs learn more difficult commands, fine tune, tricks, distance, hand signals, distractions, duration, & following commands off leash. Proof of vaccinations are required at the 1st class.

Grooming with Electric Clippers

Learn to groom your dog at home with professional trainer Linda Weniger. She will teach you what tools to purchase (clipper blades, combs, brushes, etc.) and how to use them properly. Learn how to groom your dog safely from start to finish. Not only will it help your wallet but also your dog will feel less stress being groomed at home. Do not bring your dog to this class.


Imagine a game that is a cross between tennis, ping pong and badminton. Sound strange? It's pickleball, a cross generational sport you can enjoy with your entire family! Come learn basic fundamentals, strategy and much more. "Pickleball rocks" says instructor and pickleball ambassador Sandra Carrillo, a retired teacher who conducts clinics city wide. Wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Do not buy a paddle for a class until you learn the importance of choosing the right paddle for you. A $5 ball fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

What Was Here Before? Walking Tour

San Antonio is always changing, but sometimes it is enjoyable to learn what buildings and businesses once stood along our streets. We will see an impressive number of “before and after” photos from across San Antonio representing dramatic changes to the urban landscape. How many can you remember that are now gone? This is a new walking tour. Begin in front of San Fernando Cathedral, 115 Main Plaza.
