Take a swing at golf this summer. This class is specifically designed for the beginning golfer. TGA will provide you with all of the basics you need to know to get into the golfing groove. Learn basic skills such as chipping, putting, types of swings as well as proper grip, stance and rules of the game. Loaner clubs are available or you can bring your own set of clubs. Beginning Tennis

Beginning Tennis is perfect for someone new to tennis or has not played in a long time. The focus is on the basics of tennis: serve, forehand and backhand ground-strokes and volleys. During this class, you will find yourself practicing drills as well as following guided instruction in a fun game based setting. Your instructor is Sam Chadwell, who has been involved in the tennis industry for 30 years. He is certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association and is employed as a staff professional at NEISD Blossom Tennis Center.

Dog Grooming

Learn how to properly bathe and brush your dog's coat, clean ears, brush teeth and clip nails. Instructor Linda Weniger will also teach you about the different tools to use on different coats of hair. Kayaking 101

Get outside and enjoy the waterways of San Antonio! Learn kayak terminology, river terminology, proper paddling techniques, how to self-rescue, river signals, how to plan a trip and how to select the appropriate kayaking gear for your needs. This class is taught at Padre Park and concludes with a scenic paddle. A $10 supply fee, which covers all rental gear, is payable to your instructor at the beginning of class. Your instructor is Sarah Neal, who is an American Canoe Association Certified Level 2 kayak instructor. No discount.

Pickleball

Imagine a game that is a cross between tennis, ping pong and badminton. Sound strange? It is pickleball and it is the fastest-growing sport in the world. Come learn to play with a wiffle ball and a paddle on a badminton-sized court. Pickleball is designed for both men and women, no matter your age or physical limitation. You will get the hang of footwork, balance, scoring and all the fundamentals. "Pickleball rocks" says instructor and pickleball ambassador Sandra Carrillo, a retired teacher who conducts clinics city wide. Wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Bring your own paddle or use a loaner paddle that will be provided. A $5 ball fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
