This hands-on, computer-based course will teach you how to upload photos and documents, connect existing family trees, use the AncestryApp, DNA networking, accessing international records, understanding of sources/databases, advanced search and explore the 'green leaf' a lot further. You must be a current paid Ancestry.com subscriber in order to see all documents and enroll in the class. Please bring the following information with you: Ancestry.com login/password, names, birth/death rates and birth/death locations on the first day of class. Your instructor is Mariano Salazar.

Kayaking 101

Get outside and enjoy the waterways of San Antonio! Learn kayak terminology, river terminology, proper paddling techniques, how to self-rescue, river signals, how to plan a trip and how to select the appropriate kayaking gear for your needs. This class is taught at Padre Park and concludes with a scenic paddle. A $10 supply fee, which covers all rental gear, is payable to your instructor at the beginning of class. Your instructor is Sarah Neal with Mission Adventure Tours. She is an American Canoe Association Certified Level 2 kayak instructor. No discount.

Kids and K9s (Ages 6-12)

Do you want your child to take more responsibility with your pet? Trainer Linda Weniger has a solution! During this pet workshop, your child will learn how to teach your pup basic commands like 'sit' and 'down,' as well as learn how to take them for a walk. They will even learn basic tricks like shake, beg, crawl, dance and roll over. Lastly, your kiddo will learn the importance of grooming, pet care, dog safety and responsibility. One registration includes one parent, one child between the ages of 6 and 12 and one dog. Child must be able to hold the dog on a leash and the dog must be potty trained. Please bring proof of current vaccinations and dog treats to class. No discount.

Imagine a game that is a cross between tennis, ping pong and badminton. Sound strange? It is pickleball and it is the fastest-growing sport in the world. Come learn to play with a wiffle ball and a paddle on a badminton-sized court. Pickleball is designed for both men and women, no matter your age or physical limitation. You will get the hang of footwork, balance, scoring and all the fundamentals. "Pickleball rocks" says instructor and pickleball ambassador Sandra Carrillo, a retired teacher who conducts clinics city wide. Wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Bring your own paddle or use a loaner paddle that will be provided. A $5 ball fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
