Beginner Golf Crash Course

Join us at SilverHorn Golf Club for this two week "crash course" to learn the game of golf. With four, 2-hour sessions in a two week span you will be submerged in the golf basics. You will be armed with the knowledge to brave the golf course starting with the basics of grip, stance, and golf club anatomy. The experts with R II M Golf will finish this crash course with a lesson in on-course policies, procedures and rules. You will go from novice to knowledgeable in no time! Dog Grooming

Learn how to properly bathe, brush, clean ears, brush teeth, clip nails and care for your dog's coat. Linda Weniger, instructor, will also teach you about the different tools to use on different coats of hair. You will leave class knowing just what you need in order to have your pooch looking like he or she has been to the doggie spa. Dog Manners 101

Are you having trouble getting Rover to stay off the furniture? Is Spot digging up your yard? This class is designed to help you learn how to control different behavioral problems that your dog exhibits. Learn techniques to keep paws off of you as well as your new chair. Learn to avoid frustration with proven techniques that manage unwanted behaviors. You will be able to teach your pet manners in a safe, rewarding way. Dog Obedience

Do not be taken for a walk anymore! Come learn all the proper techniques for training your dog using positive reinforcement. A basic skill will be taught each week such as the heel, sit, stay, come and down commands. Learn the tricks to solving behavior problems. Pickleball

Imagine a game that is a cross between tennis, ping pong and badminton. Sound strange? It is pickleball and it is the fastest-growing sport in the world. Come learn to play with a wiffle ball and a paddle on a badminton-sized court. Pickleball is designed for both men and women, no matter your age or physical limitation. You will get the hang of footwork, balance, scoring and all the fundamentals. "Pickleball rocks" says instructor and pickleball ambassador Sandra Carrillo, a retired teacher who conducts clinics city wide. Wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. The focus for this beginning level adult class is learning the basic tennis fundamentals such as grips, movement, swings, etc. In this small group instruction you will learn how to hit the ball in game-type situations. This is a great way to learn tennis the right way. Bring a racket to class. A $5 ball fee is payable to the instructor at the first class. Rafael Vital is USPTR certified and has taught hundreds of folks how to enjoy this life-time sport. Enrollment is limited.

Do you have a little tennis experience and want to improve your game? Learn how to use your forehand as a weapon to be able to hit the ball inside-out from mid-court to open up or put away a ball. Also learn the importance of establishing a cross-court based game to safely stay in the point while slowly getting your opponent out of position.
