Jr. Engineering (LEGO©) June 23 - 27, 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM
Grades: 1-3
Join us as we explore, investigate and solve problems while we learn about the building blocks of engineering—simple machines. Students enjoy hands-on activities with levers, gears, wheels, axles and pulleys, that incorporate math, science and creativity. If your child enjoys building with LEGO© he/she will love this camp!
Elementary Engineering (LEGO©) June 23 - 27, 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Grades: 4-5
This exciting hands-on engineering class combines LEGO© education and LEGO© Technic materials to explore motorized simple machines by building realistic models. Student teams creatively solve challenges using concepts learned in camp.
Hands on Robotics (Robotics) June 16 - 20, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Grades: 1-3
Our robot, Roamer, can turn, draw, measure, do math and even make music. Our students learn how robotics and programming go hand in hand as they write programs and give commands for Roamer to follow.
Alien Invasion (Robotics) June 16 -20, 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Grades 4-5
Students work to build robots that are similar in concept to those used to explore other planets...a rover, a sample-gathering robot and an "alien" that can move independently. Once the building of the robot is complete, students will use the computer to respond to touch, light or programmed commands. Students use mathematics, science and technology to complete challenging missions
Texas Cheer Summer Camp
All camps are Monday- Thursday, beginning June 16 and ending on June 28 with a special parent performance. $72
Tiny Cheer (Ages 3-5)
9:30-10:30 AM
A CHEER-ful fun filled class covering the basics of cheer and dance. We will cover basic technique and a performance routines in this class.
Tiny Hip Hop (Ages 3-5)
10:30-11:30 AM
A fun and exciting class dedicated to the basics of modern hip hop style dance, appropriate for this age group. We will cover basic techniques and a performance routine.
All That Jazz Music-Video Style Dance (Grades K-6)
1:00-2:00 PM
An introduction to dance styles for the younger dancer will provide dance combinations and rhythmic patterns in a high-energy environment. Children who enjoy turning on the radio and dancing across the floor will have a great time in this class. We will cover techniques and a performance routine in this class.
Theater Workshop (Grades K-6)
2:00 - 3:30 PM
Learn what theater’s all about. Students will put together a theatrical production while learning about many of the different aspects of pre and post theatrical studies. Hands-on theater experience includes costumes, sets, scripts, music and staging. Come and enjoy the fun!
